Happy Autumn!

Hi blogger friends! I miss you!

I have been very busy since last post and didn't have time to play with my dolls and miniature things. I am supposed to post a tutorial about how to make a simple background with wainscoting. But I realized that I didn't have a sample wood piece left. So I will go to craft store this week and pick some so I can take pictures and finish my tutorial. I already wrote a draft saved on my drive.

I miss the fall season in Portland where I lived last year. I can imagine there must be thick orange fall leaves covering the ground and the color would be so beautiful. I can't feel anything closed to that in Orlando right now. Although it's getting cooler, and pumpkin soup started being sold in the restaurant, there's no real flavor of autumn in Orlando. And no winter. What a pity! I like fall and winter so much. Here are some photos taken last year around the same time in the park next to Portland State University. How beautiful the fall color is! I miss it so much. Everything is still green here...:(

There are some updates in my doll family. I don't know if you remember Snow. She is a customized Blythe doll I purchased from a Chinese forum. I did some changes on her when she's with me. I did eye gaze correction on her and changed her eye chips and pull rings. Three weeks ago I listed her on eBay. One of the reasons that I decided find her a new home was that I had 3 blonde girls and I kinda realized that I would like collect more different hair colors. And for some reasons I fell in love with Rosey Red (a type of BL Blythe doll) so I need money to purchase one. Luckily someone adopted Snow this Monday. I hope she will be taken good care of in the new home.

So now there are 5 girls in my Blythe family:
Aria

Spencer (She's listed on eBay too...)

Eva

Rachel (She was sent to China for customization. She'll be back in December.)

And here's my new girl, a Rosey Red, I name her EmmaGrace which is one of our friends' daughter's name. Finally I got some free time today and took a picture of her with those little pumpkins this morning. I edited the tone of the photo and wanted to create a feeling of fall. Did I tell you that I love pumpkin soup?

I hope you a happy Autumn!

I'm going to post the wainscoting tutorial and DAL doll next. :)

  1. I feel the same now that Iive in the South. I love winter and fall very much but I must admit, I don't miss the freezing cold temperature! Your new girl is so pretty! That fall picture is perfect! You seized the autumn mood perfectly! I need to try my hand at editing my pictures! Yours looks so beautiful! I love that little horse. He reminds me of a stop-motion cartoon from my childhood but I can't remember exactly the name! I wonder what Rachel will look like when she comes back from her custom job. And I look forward to your tutorial :D Happy October to you!

    2. My pleasure :), typical autumn weather in Germany. It's foggy, rainy and cold, but the leaves are nicely coloured.

    1. Thank you Hannah. I truly miss where autumn seems orange and yellow. But anyway I like this season because the holiday atmosphere. My neighbors started decorating Halloween now, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming after. I am really excited.
I’m glad snow found a good home as well. Recently I’m really tired and busy so I didn’t have time for my dolls. In this post those are some old photos I took.
      Happy autumn!
